Football is the most popular sport in Seychelles. Other sports include basketball, volleyball, and cycling. The Seychelles national football team is controlled by the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF). SFF is a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The home turf of the team is the Stade Linité stadium with a 10,000 capacity located in Roche Caiman, Victoria Seychelles.
Kevin Eddie Lewis Betsy is a football player who plays as a midfielder for Conference National side Woking. Betsy started his career with Woking but went on to establish his legacy with Fulham where he became a member of the squad that earned promotions in 1999 and 2002 that made the club a Premier League team. He was also the first Seychelloise player to play in the Premier League.
Despite being born in England, Betsy qualified to represent the Seychelles through his grandparents and earned his first cap in 2011. Seychelles National Olympic Committee was formed in the 1979 and first participated at the Olympic Games since the 1980, missing only the 1988 North Korean Games. They have always been part of the Summer Games but never joined the Winter Games. Sadly, they are yet to take home an Olympic medal.
