A sack race is a fun game in which participants race with both of their legs inside a sack or pillowcase. Races are held over various distances, or may be in the form of a relay. The first person or team to cross the finish line is the winner.
Participants usually hop forward from a starting point toward a finish line, though alternative methods include running inside the sacks, which is sometimes frowned upon. Using larger sized sack may also give an advantage.
There are no formal or professional competitions for sack races. Competitions are commonly conducted during festivals, picnics and school sports days.
