The first Paralympic Games were held in 1960 in Rome, the first Winter Paralympics in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden in 1976. The next Winter Paralympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2026, followed by the French Alps in 2030 and Salt Lake City in 2034.
