Unusual Wrestling Competitions
The sport of wrestling has many unusual variations. Here are some examples of some of the unusual wrestling competitions - though there are a lot more that go on around the world.
List of Unusual Wrestling
- Camel Wrestling — This sport involves two bull (male) camels with a female camel on heat nearby. The camels fight it out for the female.
- Thumb Wrestling — two players use their thumbs to simulate fighting
- Toe Wrestling — with shoes off, the competitors face other toe-to-toe across the 'toedium', where they interlock their big toes and try to force each other off the toedium (a lot like arm wrestling)
- Finger Wrestling — two men sit and face each other over a table and thread their fingers into a leather band
- Finger Jousting — the objective is to try and poke the opponent while keeping their index finger locked under the other, not letting it go.
- Goanna Pulling — a version of tug-of-war using a strap around the neck.
