The World Mind Games included members of the International Mind Sport Association (IMSA) and were held annually from their incarnation in 2011 to the Beijing edition in 2014. The event consisted of competitions for sports that are classified as mind-sports.
Four events were held from 2011 to 2014, all held in Beijing during December.
The event featured the top players of six mind-sport games: chess, Chinese chess, bridge, go, draughts, and duplicate poker.
