The new sport of Waterball was created by Jakub LudvĂk from Czechia in July 2016. It is a modifed version of water polo.
Equipment Required: ball, swimming pool
Waterball is played in the pool (25m x 10m) 5 v 5. One of the players is a goalkeeper and the only one can move in the semicircle (8m) at the end of the pool. The pool is 130 cm deep.
One team tries to score a rubber ball (20 cm) in the goal (1.75m x 1m), which is on the edge of the pool. After reaching the half, the team has 30 seconds to attack.
You must not restrict the other player in motion and slap into the other player's body, if that happens, there is an advantage (until the one who breaks the rules touches the ball interrupts the game) after which the player must leave the pitch for 90 seconds or 4 Minutes by severity of punishment.
In a very brutal foul, the player gets a penalty for 4 minutes (which is settled by another player) and can no longer return to the game. After foul is played from where he was fouled.
It's played for 4 x 10 minutes. Time is being tracked. A 3 meter high mantinel is along the shorter side of the pool.
Player shuffling may take place during the game, but players must slap their hands if they do not, or there will be more than 5 players (one team), the referee will be serving a penalty for 90 seconds.
