The Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022 was spread over three main locations: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou. There were three Winter Olympics athlete villages, in each competition cluster area. In Beijing, some of the main venues of the 2008 Summer Olympics were reused.
Beijing Venue Cluster
Some facilities in the 'Olympic Green' area were used, as well as some further afield in suburban Beijing. The opening and closing ceremonies were held at the Beijing National Stadium (also known as the Bird's Nest).
- Beijing National Aquatics Center – curling
- Beijing National Indoor Stadium – ice hockey
- National Speed Skating Oval – speed skating
- Capital Indoor Stadium – figure skating & short track speed skating
- Wukesong Sports Centre – ice hockey
- Big Air Shougang – snowboarding (Big Air) & freestyle skiing (Big Air)
Yanqing Venue Cluster
Yanqing District is northwest of Beijing, 90 km away from the city center.
- Xiaohaituo Alpine Skiing Field – alpine skiing
- Xiaohaituo Bobsleigh, skeleton and Luge Track – bobsleigh, luge & skeleton
Zhangjiakou Venue Cluster
Many skiing events were held in Zhangjiakou area, in Hebei province about 220 km (140 miles) from downtown Beijing.
- Kuyangshu Nordic Center and Biathlon Center – cross-country skiing & Nordic combined (cross-country skiing)
- Kuyangshu Ski Jumping Field – ski jumping & Nordic combined (ski jumping)
- Hualindong Ski Resort – biathlon
- Genting Snow Park – snowboarding (slopestyle, halfpipe) & reestyle skiing
- Thaiwoo Ski Resort – snowboarding (cross) & freestyle skiing
- Wanlong Ski Resort – snowboarding (parallel slalom)
