The sporting venues to be used for the 2028 LA Olympic Games has been announced in 2024, though there may be changes as we get closer to the event. There has been an effort to use existing sports facilities to keep costs down.
Notes about the 2028 LA Olympic Games Venues
- Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum — Track and Field. The stadium will become the first to host the Summer Olympics three times (it also held events during the 1932 & 1984 Olympic Games).
- SoFi Stadium — the opening ceremony, then it will be transformed into the biggest swimming venue in Olympic history.
- Rose Bowl — Football
- Riviera Country Club — golf
- Long Beach — for triathlon, sailing and rowing
- Santa Monica Beach — beach volleyball?
- Long Beach Marine Stadium — rowing. Due to a shorter available course, the rowing usual 2km race distance will be reduced by 500m.
- There will be an outdoor diving venue
- The canoe venue is in Oklahoma City, 2000km east of LA, as is the softball event.
