As one commentator said, "He has needlessly squandered his unique potential to be a positive force in the world as he has now been outed as a serial adulterer, a liar, and a selfish coward." If he had been open from the start and admitted his 'transgressions', and vowed to make amends, most people would have forgiven him, and seen it as a positive characteristic to be human.
