The Cotton Bowl Stadium is located in Dallas, Texas. The stadium opened in 1930, originally called the Fair Park Stadium. It has a capacity of 92,100.
The stadium is named after the annual college football post-season bowl game known as the Cotton Bowl Classic which was played here between 1937 and 2009, before it was moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

- The Cotton Bowl is the largest stadium by capacity in the United States without a professional or college team as a regular tenant.
- The playing field is approximately 450 feet (140 m) above sea level.
- The stadium is known as "The House That Doak Built," as a result of the large crowds that SMU running back Doak Walker drew to the stadium during his college career in the 1940s.
- For the 1984 made-for-TV film "The Jesse Owens Story", the Cotton Bowl was converted to look like the Berlin Olympic Stadium for the 1936 Olympics. Large Nazi flags and banners were used to cover up the Cotton Bowl emblems.
