Artistic Swimming, formally known as synchronized swimming, was first part of the Asian Games in 1994, and has been on the program ever since. Artistic swimming is an event for women only. The current program includes competitions in duet, team and combination events.
Trivia
- A solo synchronized swimming event has also been contested at the Asian Games, in 1994, 1998 and 2002.
