Sport Description
Skirmish is a 10 on 10 full-contact football game using a oval pneumatic ball, playing field with two goal lines and goalposts for field goals. It has a unique field and scoring values. Skirmish is safer than Gridiron football.
Skirmish demands versatility over specialization. Skirmish requires it's players to play multiple positions. Every Skirmisher will know the entire offensive playbook, defensive schemes and special teams assignments. Skirmishers will be the best at their game due the game's fast pace and strategic structure.
Skirmish even has it's own unique playing field called a Pitch-Grid which has a special feature. Pitch-Grid field lines hold an international secret which gives the new game global appeal. So while resembling American Football, Skirmish is different from front to back.
Being a modern game, Skirmish does pay tribute to it's origins which reveal traits that can only be described as Rugby DNA. So some language like "Try", "Knock" and "in touch" used in the rulebook below come right out of Rugby Union.
