The Pacific Games is a multi-sport event similar to the Olympics, which has been held since 1963. Participating countries are exclusively from around the South Pacific region only.

There are 24 sports to be held at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara, Solomon Islands, 17 of which are core sports. The sports of Athleteics, Basketball, Boxing, Table Tennis, Tennis and Indoor Volleyball have been held at all Pacific Games since 1963.
