Skijoring, which is the sport of being pulled along on skis behind an animal, was a demonstration sport at the 1928 Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The athletes were pulled along behind a horse. Dog sled racing, similar to skijoring, was included as a demonstration event at the Winter Olympics in 1932.
In 1928, the athletes were towed behind horses. There were no riders on the horses, there were no jumps on the course, and all athletes competed simultaneously.
