Sambo at the Asian Games
Sambo made its debut at the 2018 Asian Games. There were four gold medals to be won, in 52 kg Men's half-flyweight, 90 kg Men's middleweight, 48 kg Women's extra-lightweight and 68 kg Women's middleweight.
Trivia
- It is a martial art and combat sport, similar in many ways to judo and jujutsu, which was developed by the Soviet Red Army in the early 1920s to improve their hand-to-hand combat abilities.
