Sambo Olympic Demonstration
Sambo is a form of Russian martial arts. It is often incorrectly stated that Sambo was a demonstration sport at the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. However, youth Sambo was only demonstrated during the Games' opening ceremony - it was not formally recognized by the IOC as a demonstration sport.
