Colin Beashel represented Australia at the Olympic Games six times, in 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004 (Opening Flag Bearer).
The oldest Gold Medalist for Australia is Bill Northam in yachting. He competed in 1964 aged 59 years 26 days.
