Michel Platini: Football (Soccer)
Michel Francois Platini (born: June 21, 1955) is a former French attacking midfielder who helped the French national team win the 1984 Euro Cup and was voted the best player of the tournament. He spent his club career with Nancy, Saint-Etienne and Juventus and played for the French national team from 1976 to 1987. Platini became and is currently the president of the Union of European Football Associations.
Greatest Sporting Achievements
Michel Platini won three consecutive Ballon d’Or Awards. He came sixth in the FIFA Player of the Century and chosen on the FIFA World Cup Dream Team. He was also part of Pele’s FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest player.
He was named Officer of the French League of Honor in 1988, voted to the English Football Hall of Fame in 2008 and Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2011.

Patini developed his impressive passing and free-kick skills when he became a prominent player for Nancy. He had the ability to control as a versatile offensive midfield playmaker. He gave the best passes in history of the sport and best penalty kick and free kick specialist. Michel Platini also provided assists, was an outstanding goal scorer and was regarded for his accurate finishing abilities.
