Brian Gerald O’Driscoll (born 21 January 1979) is a former professional Rugby Union player who played as a center, serving as captain of Leinster, The Lions and Ireland. Debuted in 1999, he is the second most-capped player in rugby union history playing 141 test matches – 133 for Ireland (83 as captain) and 8 for British and Irish Lions. O’Driscoll retired from professional rugby in 2014 and currently works in the business and sporting industry.

Brian O’Driscoll is the eight-highest try scorer in rugby union history and the highest scoring center of all time.
He has the most Heineken Cup tries (30) for an Irishman.
He holds the Six Nations record for most tries scored (26) and became Player of the Tournament in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
Why Was He So Good?
He had plenty of tricks up his sleeve when he still played professional rugby. Many have said that he retired too early. Brian O’Driscoll was a reader of the game with real skills and strong athletic presence. He may not be the tallest player ever to have played the game but he was certainly one of the most skillful.

- Brian married Irish actress Amy Huberman on 2 July 2010 at St. Joseph’s Church in Ireland. They held their reception at a nearby Lough Rynn Castle.
- Before fame, he studied sports management at University College Dublin.
- In 2005, O’Driscoll published a book called “A Year in the Centre” and in 2014, he released “The Test: My Autobiography” was released. The book won Book of the Year at the 2014 Irish Book Awards.
- He became co-presented on Off the Ball and works for BT Sport as an analyst.
