- Try to eat small frequent meals
- Take advantage of the times that you are feeling well by eating more at these times
- Sip fluids frequently – at times this may be easier than eating
- Avoid highly spiced, rich and flavored foods
- Avoid food smells
- Choose bland foods – dry biscuits, sandwiches, rice etc
- Foods pale in color may be easier to eat e.g. pears rather than apricots
- Dry ginger ale and peppermint tea can be good to help the nausea
- Avoid fried and other high fat foods
