The Mind Sports Olympiad (MSO) is an international mind-sports event which involves over 100 different game competitions. The mainstay events are Chess, Scrabble, Backgammon and Go, though newer games are also played, such as Settlers of Catan, 7 Wonders, Dominion, Ticket to Ride, and Carcassonne. There are other games too, like poker, Memory and Sudoku.
The first Mind Sports Olympiad was held 1977, and the event is held annually around August in London. The most prestigious prize at the event is the Pentamind World Championship, which celebrates the best all-round games player. The winner is the competitor who has the best results from five different competitions.

In 2020 the tournament was held online for the fist time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
