1920 Korfball Demonstration

A demonstration of Korfball took place at the Olympisch Stadion on 22 August 1920, played between a team from Amsterdam and one from South Holland.

The teams were lucky to arrive on time as they were originally driven away from the stadium to a fairground called "the Olympic Games" before the mistake was noticed. They arrived at the stadium 10 minutes before the start time.

The demonstration game started after the marathon runners headed out onto the course, and finished three hours later when they returned to the stadium.
