The Kopa Trophy is an annual football award for the world's best young men's player from the previous season. The award presented by France Football is named after former French footballer Raymond Kopa, the winner of the 1958 Ballon d'Or.
The Kopa Trophy award is open for players under the age of 21. The first award was presented in 2018 (and none in 2020).
The award is voted on by former Ballon d'Or winners, giving their top-3 selections. The three players voted by each jurors are assigned 5, 3 and 1 points. In case of a tie, the players are ordered according to the number of first place votes, then second place votes.
