Ireland at the Commonwealth Games
A single Ireland team competed at the first Commonwealth Games in 1930 (known as the British Empire Games at the time). At the next Games in 1934 there were teams from Northern Ireland and the Irish Free State.
Trivia
- One silver medal was won at their only appearance as the nation Ireland at the Commonwealth Games. Bill Briton was second in the hammer throw event.
