The Maccabiah Games

The Maccabiah Games, also called the Jewish Olympics, is a multi-sport event for Jewish athletes around the world. This Olympic-type event is becoming a popular event especially to the world's Jewish young athletes.

The Maccabiah Olympics events are held in Israel every four years, and the participants are the best Jewish athletes from all over the world. The first Maccabiah event was held in 1932 in Tel Aviv.

Every year the Maccabiah Games brings excitement and joy for Jewish athletes. Thousands of athletes around the world participate in various games event like Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Cycling, Tennis, track and field, hockey, dance etc.

The event is designed for participants in Open, Masters, Junior and disabled events. The junior events are for those under 15 age, masters games are designed for different age categories, open games is designed for unlimited age categories for the best athletes from different categories and physically disabled athletes can participate in this event too.

The event is organized by the Maccabi World Union (MWU), the organization committed to promote Jewish identity, cultural, social and educational activities around the world.
