Law enforcement recruits in Hong Kong are required to undergo a fitness assessment as part of the recruitment process. Hong Kong Assessment Tests
A revised Physical Fitness Test will be implemented in October 2015, and run on a pilot basis for 12 months. The previous physical fitness test, had been in use for nearly 30 years.
Initial screening also includes height and weight measurement as well as an eyesight test.
Revised Physical Fitness Test comprises:
- 800m run
- 4 x 10m shuttle-run (during which candidates need to pick up bean-bags on the ground)
- Vertical jump test
- Handgrip tests.
