Guernsey at the Commonwealth Games
Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands and is situated some 80 miles south of the English mainland. The islands lie adjacent to the coast of France and the Bailiwick of Guernsey includes the smaller Channel Islands of Alderney, Sark, Herm and Jethou.
Trivia
- The island has attended every Commonwealth Games since its debut at the Edinburgh Games of 1970.
- Its first medals came in Brisbane in 1982, and first gold in 1990 when Adrian Breton won the mens individual rapid fire pistol competition.
