Grenada is a seven island country that is located in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. As with most of the countries in the area like Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada loves cricket.
As a matter of fact, Grenada has gotten into quite an intense rivalry with its Caribbean neighbors. One of the most prominent Caribbean cricketer, Devon Smith, who plays for the West Indies, was born in Hermitage, Grenada. Tennis and water sports are also quite popular in Grenada.
Grenada has also participated in all Summer Olympic Games since 1984 and despite being a relatively small country, Grenada has been successful in securing an Olympic medal. Not just a Olympic medal, a gold which was taken by Kirani James when he ran the Men's 400 meters in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games held in London. James has also won other honors for Grenada like a string of gold medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games as well as the CARIFTA Games. He was also the first runner to do the 200/400 double in the 2009 World Youth Championships and took the title of World Junior Champion in 2010.
