Georgia were not able to qualify for the 1987 and 1991 World Cups as they were still part of the USSR at that time. The nation's rugby team first participated at the World Cup in 2003, and has attended every tournament since. They were winless in their first appearance, and have never progressed past the pool stage in all of their appearances (including 2019).
