The ability to remain calm and focused helps players execute plays accurately and respond effectively to high-stakes situations, making this skill crucial for key players like quarterbacks and kickers.
12. Skill and Technique (4.1)
Skill and technique, with a high score of 4.1, are foundational to success in football. Each position requires specialized techniques, whether it’s a quarterback’s throwing mechanics, a receiver’s route running, or a lineman’s blocking form. Mastery of these skills enables players to perform consistently and achieve strategic objectives on the field.

In American football, the most important factors for success are Strength & Power, Speed / Quickness, Skill and Technique, Agility, and Motivation & Self Confidence. These factors reflect the sport’s emphasis on power, precision, and mental toughness. While Body Size and Composition and Flexibility are less critical, they provide added benefits for stability, endurance, and injury prevention. Overall, success in American football depends on a balance of physical power, mental resilience, and refined technical skills, allowing players to execute complex plays effectively under pressure and maximize team performance.
