2. Aerobic Endurance (4.5)
Aerobic endurance is essential in Ultimate Frisbee, with a high rating of 4.5. The sport demands continuous running over long periods, especially during tournaments with multiple games in a day. 3. Strength & Power (3.7)
Strength and power are moderately important, with an average score of 3.7. While raw power is not the main focus in Ultimate Frisbee, strength helps players make sharp turns, accelerate quickly, and withstand physical contact during close plays. 4. Speed / Quickness (4.5)
Speed and quickness, rated at 4.5, are crucial in Ultimate Frisbee, where players often sprint up and down the field and make quick cuts to get open for a pass. Fast acceleration and quick reactions are vital for both offense and defense, as players need to move rapidly to intercept passes or keep up with their opponents.
5. Flexibility (3.5)
Flexibility scored a 3.5, reflecting its supportive role in improving movement efficiency and reducing injury risk. Flexible hamstrings, hips, and shoulders help players reach for throws, catch in tight spaces, and move smoothly. While flexibility isn’t the top priority, it complements agility and coordination, enhancing overall performance.
6. Agility (4.5)
Agility is highly rated at 4.5, underscoring its importance in Ultimate Frisbee. Quick directional changes, sudden stops, and rapid pivots are essential for creating space and defending against opponents. Agility helps players navigate the field and stay nimble, making it a key factor for success.
7. Balance & Coordination (4.3)
Balance and coordination, rated at 4.3, are essential for maintaining control while running, jumping, and catching. These skills are especially important for high-stakes moments like intercepts or diving catches.
8. Reaction Time (4.3)
Reaction time also scored highly at 4.3, reflecting its importance in this fast-paced sport. 9. Analytic & Tactical Ability (4.4)
Analytic and tactical ability, with a score of 4.4, highlights the strategic demands of Ultimate Frisbee. Skill and technique, also rated at 4.5, are foundational for success in Ultimate Frisbee. Mastery over throwing, catching, and accurate passing is essential for effective play.
