Philip “Phil” Peter Dalhausser (born: 26 January 1980) is a professional American beach volleyball player. He was born in Switzerland to a German father and a Swiss mother. Dalhausser is one of the most decorated in men’s beach volleyball. The 6’9” Olympic gold medalist started playing volleyball during his senior year in Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. In college, he went to the University of Central Florida where he also played club volleyball where he was named MVP of the team and received numerous awards.
Greatest Sporting Achievements
Phil Dalhausser took home 6 gold medals (1 from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 1 from the 2007 Gastaad World Championships and 4 for the 2006 Austria, 2008 France, 2008 Norway and 2008 Russia World Tour) for beach volleyball. He won 3 more silver medals and 5 bronze medals and was named Best Setter of the Men’s FIVB World Tour for 4 straight years, from 2009 to 2012.
