A Canadian canoeing competition was a demonstration event at the Olympic Games in 1924. At the time the sport was a popular in Canada and the USA. The demonstration by Canadian and US rowers were performed in canoes with one, two and four rowers, with single or double paddles. The double paddle events can be compared to kayaking. All events were held at Bassin d'Argenteuil, the same location as the OIlympic rowing events.
The canoeing program was incorporated into the Olympic rowing regatta and included the events below:
- Canoe paddler 1: single paddle
- Canoe paddler 1: double paddle
- Canoe rowers 2: single paddle
- Canoe rowers 2: double paddle
- Canoe rowers 4: single paddle
- Canoe rowers 4: double paddle
