Cameroon made its only participation so far at the Winter Olympic Games in 2002 and fielded Isaac Menyoli in the cross-country skiing competition. Menyoli competed in the 2x10-km pursuit event and registered 45:40.3 to place 80th.
The central African nation which gained its independent republic status in January 1, 1960 has already won a few medals in the Summer Olympic Games but it is still waiting for its first medal at the Winter Games.
