Australian Basketball at the Olympics

Fiona Hannan is one of the few athletes to compete at the Olympic Games in two different sports: Basketball in 1996 and Handball in 2000.
The men's basketball team at the Rio Games went close to winning their first medal. After pushing the dream team USA in their earlier match, a poor performance in the semi final against Serbia then a close loss to Spain in the bronze medal game meant they finished in 4th position.
