Twice a combined Australasia team (comprising of Australia and New Zealand) competed together as a single team, which was designated Australasia (ANZ), at the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1912.
The Australasia team won twelve medals in the two Olympiads in which they competed, one the gold medal in Rugby at the 1908 Games, with the rest mostly in the sport of swimming. Three of these medals (1 gold, 2 bronze) were won by New Zealanders, the gold medal as part of a mixed relay.
