Super Bowl 1972
The 1972 Super Bowl, officially known as Super Bowl VI, was played on January 16, 1972 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. This game saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Miami Dolphins by a score of 24-3.
The Cowboys dominated the game, with quarterback Roger Staubach leading the way and winning the MVP award for his performance. Dallas's defense was also impressive, holding the Dolphins to just 3 points and intercepting two of Miami's passes.
This was the first Super Bowl win for the Dallas Cowboys and marked the beginning of a successful period for the franchise.
