Super Bowl 1971
The 1971 Super Bowl, officially known as Super Bowl V, was played on January 17, 1971 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. This game was a nail-biter, with the Baltimore Colts defeating the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 16-13. The game was notable for its close score and for the many mistakes made by both teams, including multiple turnovers and penalties. The game-winning field goal was kicked by Colts kicker Jim O'Brien in the final seconds of the game.
This was the first Super Bowl win for the Baltimore Colts. The 1971 Super Bowl was also notable for being the first to feature a national anthem performance, with singer Anita Bryant performing "The Star-Spangled Banner".
